On Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week I give you this. โœ๏ธ
Remember this man? He is the first Republican that I remember speaking out against Trump in 2017. He chose to not run for reelection.
Big Truth!
Big Truth ๐Ÿ‘Š
" Beauty is a temporary state, but that which accomplish by real effort abides." - Ellen Burnstyn. Searching for an image I chose this one because kindness is a conscious choice that often requires real effort but also because beauty matters not when a fellow human needs help.
The Farmer's Daughter is a 1947 film, a lighthearted story about politics. Loretta Young, the protagonist surprisingly finds herself running for Congress. She states among her causes is that people deserve to be paid a living wage. 77 years later we still have not achieved this. I read that 62% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. How many have to work multiple jobs and still are living paycheck to paycheck? 192 Republicans voted against raising the minimum wage to $15/hr.
Read these words from Ellen Burstyn's autobiography " Lessons In Becoming Myself": " It's the soul that grows when it doesn't identify with ego." I then found this ๐Ÿ‘‡makes me think that Republicans=Ego, Democrats = Soul ๐ŸคŽ
