Die WHS hat von der australischen Regierung eine Rechnung bekommen und die Flugkosten für Julian Assange von London nach Australien bezahlt (~480.000 €).

The WHS has received an invoice from the Australian government and paid the flight costs for Julian Assange from London to Australia (~480.000 €).

@mxy Maybe the text isn't clear enough, but what we meant is: With the plea deal no court ruling was made if journalistic activities (even those falling under the Espionage act) are covered by the 1st amendment. So yes, Julian is off the hook, but everyone else engaging in similar activities is not.

@nik Wer ausser dem Finanzamt glaubt denn, dass es sich um Mittelfehlverwendung gehandelt hätte, wenn das Geld bezahlt worden wäre? Wir hätten in jedem Fall Einspruch eingelegt und nach Auskunft von zwei Steuer- und Stiftungsanwälten den Rechtsstreit auch mit wehenden Fahnen gewonnen. Das hätte nur länger gedauert...
