What if we could embed the figma design and google docs spec? What if we could do some light task management within the workspace? Quick & easy - list out the sub-tasks, self-assign one, divide & conquer.

Could we comment on & react to edits right in the workspace, or reference specific lines of code?

And if we can layer on top a rich community of plugins, could we include other things in this collaboration? What about a set of shared snippets or a shared clipboard?

if we can have a coding environment that includes all of this context, we open the door to true collaboration.

And a fun extra: this extends to collaboration with myself and others in the future!

In this exploration, we prototyped an interface that allowed you to create a "workspace" for any thread of work (fixing an issue, adding a feature, etc).

You could share that workspace (live!) with others and layer "plugins" on top of that space

we've shipped a ton of really interesting write-ups recently... let me tell you about
our ✨ Workspaces ✨ exploration

> When you think about collaboration for developers, what does that look like?

Many cursors typing at once, right? _Let's think harder!_

while a lot of a developer's job looks like writing code, that's not all we do! So much of the work involves the _context_ around that code!

I made a little app to help you find your Tweeple on Mastodon 🦣

I was hoping to do some fun data vis, but will save that for another day!

one of my favorite #Projects is my SVG tool. My end goal is to explore:

✨ Remember learning physics by playing in a sandbox as a kid? no lesson plans, just curiosity and tight feedback loops. Can we recreate some of that interactive tools?

I'm noodling on an ✨ SVG sandbox ✨ where you can slowly build your mental model, 100% driven by curiosity and the joy of creating.

Turns out recreating the entire SVG API takes a while, but I'll be sharing more about the journey soon!
