@glennf my thoughts exactly. I think it’s a test in the hope that shutting off 3rd party apps increases adoption of the 1st party client. They’re not communicating anything to the third party apps in case they find out Twitter actually does need them, in which case they just turn the access back on (I don’t know if there’d even be any fake apology/explanation). On a personal level this is the thing that’s moved me from being in both apps to feeling like I’m all in on this one.
