75% of BJP's poll trust funds in 2018-19 came from TATAs

In 2018-19 BJP declared 741.98 Crores in donations, up 69.5% from 437.69 Crores in 2017-18.

75% of this came from the Tatas.

Corporate contributions to the ruling party almost trebled from 2017-18 when it was Rs 167 crore. For Congress, it swelled by over eight times, albeit on a much smaller base of Rs 12 crore for 2017-18. Interestingly, PET, which also distributed Rs 43 crore to Trinamool Congress in the last financial year, had declared nil contribution in 2017-18.
