🚨PSA: Just tested the Onion Browser and several Tor browsers for iOS and they all leak the real IP address when tapping on the share option.

WORKAROUND: Don't use the share button. Instead, copy URLs manually.

A word of advice for some recent events going on in the Linux world.

DON'T: worry that Fedora will break Steam and all of your games, fear GNOME will delete X11 and ruin application compatibility, and panic when Ubuntu replaces the C-based coreutils with the Rust-based uutils.

DON'T listen to news outlets or content creators, because they are easily rewarded when you are fearful with ad revenue and attention economy. Being angry, afraid, or uncertain are surefire paths to bad decision making.

DO: Acknowledge 32-bit libraries are a burden on developers as well as proposals are just proposals and not meant to be seen by the common user, GNOME monitors the end user experience and coordinates with distro maintainers to find bugs and XWayland is still around and taken care of, and Ubuntu just gave you a new Linux tool to play with, so it's time to learn how to use uutils if you are concerned and migrate your workflow if necessary.

DO listen to your developers. When it comes to major decisions like these, trust the process and the people; you already trusted them enough to put code on your possessions. Especially to enthusiast users, don't get complacent, but take it as a learning experience.

Psylo deliberately doesn’t offer a share feature due to a privacy issue in iOS’s share feature: it generates a link preview of the website you’re sharing using your IP address, which bypasses Psylo’s tracking protection. You can tap and hold the address bar to copy the address.
