Discord is centralized and can't be self-hosted. They missuse the word "server" to mean something more akin to an irc channel.
As someone who parts together old thinkpads like some people do OG Volkswagen bugs, why? There's plenty of 10+ year old high end end laptops that are still better than new commodity laptops. It's just no longer supported by windows.
@charlesgaba What about colonoscopies starting at age 45? The recommended age for the first one has gone down by five years.

A lot of people who didn't previously own any kind of computer got online for the first time when they upgraded from flip phones to smart phones.
