@Techaltar The usage of credit in any flavour, either through credit card or BNPL got too normalized. Americans especially, only think about the monthly payment, not the total cost of the item. So they buy stuff until maxing out the salary and living paycheck to paycheck with no savings, and a single emergency spend spirals out into a bunch of missed payments and big late payments.
