Wow, this is unexpected, and great. The connector is a lot more elegant, the chargers work and are seamless (no app, no tapping of a card), etc.

I had a 3aXL and upgraded last year to a 6a. Great upgrade. The phone is quite good overall and is a good bang for the buck, though not much nicer than my wife's 5a.
I think the upgrades are probably worth $50.
As a person of an age where minimum focal distance is a bit long, I'd like the 7a to have a slightly larger screen (6a and 7a both 6.1 in).

Hopefully the remaining dev path will be fast and not-explody.
Super-excited, long term, by the possibilities of Starship/SH.
With orbital refueling, higher speeds for craft heading to the outer planets are possible.
Huge things can be launched - both in size and mass.
Telescopes won't have to fold as much. Etc, etc.
I find some interesting stuff in these cars, but even if I had the money, I don't think I'd buy one. The 2 main fears I'd have (in the US) would be charging network and probability of company survival! Time will tell.
@arstechnica Heh. Agreed. My first EV was a leased 2016 Spark, Best bang for buck! $69/mo. $2583 down, $2500 state rebate, $500 utility rebate, so in the black on day 1.
We have a mid-range model 3, cheapest at the time. Great car, plenty fast.
