What even to say. I grew up going to Monterey Park/SGV with my family every weekend for family friend parties, groceries, a meal, weddings, a boba hang out, doctors, supplies for Chinese calligraphy. I know this community even if I never knew these people last night.
I feel most like my grandmas when I’m going to four different specialty Chinese stores to get ready for the new year but at least I can treat myself to hot pot!
