@caseyliss English is not primary, phone not in English, but still prefer certain types of apps in English 😅
@stroughtonsmith At least the docs make it very clear what that property does.
@stroughtonsmith do you happen to know the ratio of SwiftUI to UIKit here?

@christianselig Awesome write-up, thanks a lot.
@siracusa man, these modals were so great...
@marcoarment It‘s my pleasure to tell you that I was one of these 500 baffled Germans, listening in my car this morning and given the situation, your comment gave me a good chuckle 😉
@caseyliss shooting from the hip here, but does it make a difference if you use the new Button(role: .close)? I know, 26-only, but would still be an interesting test. https://nilcoalescing.com/blog/AddACloseButtonToSwiftUIModalsOnIOS26/
Add a Close button to SwiftUI modals on iOS 26

In iOS 26, SwiftUI introduces a new close button role for dismissing informational views, automatically showing a standard close icon without needing a custom label.

@Joekw It works now, thank you! And only now I understand the behavior of this component. Man, Apple's docs are so poor these days...
@Joekw No, I read sth about it in this thread, but didn't understand why I would need to do that. Documentation says nothing about it either (why would it, right?)
