Yeah… Its also hard to know scale if you are looking at a picture of a bare walls but yeah tiny furniture doesn’t help.

Also the fish-eye lenses they use don’t help

Wow I knew they were virtually staging houses for sale, which I thought was fine until I realized the process doesn’t just add furniture, it also cleans up imperfections in the house.

Very cool. I’m excited to see more creative ways to build trust for moderating online spaces, from the fediverse to git repos

While not the IKEA shark, I imagine his platform would be endorsed by the shark, with LGBTQIA+ protections, and opposing the Israel’s genocide.

Good

It is really helpful to hear your position. Thank you for sharing.

Gaza is a disaster that my country is directly supporting, so there are clear steps (not selling arms to Israel) that should be taken that I can protest/petition/vote for.

There are a lot of horrible things in the world but its much less clear what I can do, or what my country should do. I can support more refugees.

Society hasn’t developed great methods for intervening into some of these atrocities, that I know of, and they are slow to develop them because its easy not to care about someone else’s problem. And its easy to “mind your own business”

For example the Iran nuke deal in 2015 seemed promising because it avoided war and most sanctions. Sure it wasn’t as proactive as war or sanctions but I think people will need to learn to be comfortable with more subtle solutions like that if we are to make progress.

Really great idea!
