A little something I worked on today: adding little icons next to the blend modes in Acorn so that you know what they do.

Today is a big (pre-)release day šŸš€ Kirby 5.1.0-rc.1 & Kirby 5.0.4 are here:

@adafruit But I joined that instance mostly _because_ of you guys being there... Guess it's time to start hunting for a new place. Thanks for the heads up!
@Meyerweb Shhh… when I was adding social icons to my simplistic site, only a couple existed. So I had to make a handful of pixel style ā€œlogosā€ that matched, in SVG. Don’t tell my spouse I spent extra time on that…

It’s the second half of 2025 and I still really, *really* enjoy hand-authoring and -modifying SVGs.

That’s it, that’s the toot.

Over the past few months, I’ve built and released three @getkirby plugins that solve problems I’ve encountered in my projects. Here's an article showing you what they do:

Three new Kirby plugins

Three new Kirby plugins I built to solve real problems: managing alt texts, adding headlines to blueprints, and creating a rich text editor with KirbyTag support.

@mayank @5t3ph Definitely good to know. I recently was playing with a Codepen from a video. I ran into the issue that the fallback provided was rendered invalid by there being multiple selectors, one being ā€˜:has’.

At the time I wasn’t aware of ā€˜:where’/ā€˜:is’ being a workaround.

Then: "Save a tree, don't print this email"
Now: "Burn the trees, AI the email"
