We gotta talk about Selkie's use of very sloppy AI art in their latest collection. I'm a (now former) Selkie girlie who owns three items. Selkie fashion is subversive, staunchly feminine, and inclusive of all kinds of bodies. It was refreshing to see femininity in which anyone (well, those with a regular paycheck and low self-control) can participate. Femininity that's assertive and loud. As a Black girl in a highly visual, male-dominated industry, femininity has always been complex for me. [1]
