I'm honestly just feeling exhausted. I wish this vile culture I was born into prioritized a season of rest. Just a few weeks at least.
The most interesting bits about the #Twitterfiles so far have nothing to do with what Elon wants.
The interesting bits are:
1. We're watching an outrage fake news cycle be created whole cloth
2. Apparently a lot of right-wingers didn't already know what the FBI does, and are (for some reason) mad at the left about it
3. Apparently a lot of right-wingers didn't already know what the US Intelligence agencies do, and are (for some reason) mad at the left about it

Why do people have to live outside?
Here's one of my favorite landscape photos I've taken. The Smoky Mountains with their nominal morning 'smoke.'
I've made pretty damn good on my 2022 intentions, which were:
- Quit a job that was eating me alive
- Re-evaluate my relationship to substances (Jan 10 will be 365 days since I had a drink, at which point I will test reintroducing alcohol into my life)
I don't do new years resolutions, but I do set out some intentions this time of year. They're judgement-free, and I usually avoid failable resolutions that name specific metrics for success.
So far, for 2023, this is what I've got:
- More writing
- More Music (consumed and created)
- Focus on my health, both mental and physical, over my work ethic
That's it.
