The reason I ask; I never used to, but I've found the PineTime alarm actually very useful for waking me up in the morning. It's nice and quiet but still gets me up which (1) means I don't get annoyed with the sound and immediately snooze it whenever I hear it and (2) it doesn't wake up my roommate.
But I'm still not entirely comfortable with sleeping with my watch on.
Wow, today's #AdventOfCode was much more time-consuming, but I hardly got a single bug during the coding process. Parsing the original map was tricky, after that it was smooth-sailing. (I'm @benjaminhollon, btw)
My solution is here (spoilers of course): https://codeberg.org/benjaminhollon/aoc/src/branch/main/2022/5.js
I appear to be the only person on our private leaderboard to have finished either part placing me (for now) solidly in the lead. The invite code: 382566-472d5a9a
I've had so much trouble finding a good alarm to wake me up in the mornings. (Long story I may tell later.)
But I just had an idea I love.
I get one of those smart power sockets thing, and set it to turn on when I want the alarm to go off. Into the socket, I plug my turntable.
That way, I'll wake up to the sound of the vinyl record of my choice!
Thoughts?
Let's start off with a status update on my watch(es).
Gave my PineTime to my youngest brother for his twelfth birthday (he loved it) so I'm back on my trusty Casio AE-1200WH until my new one arrives.
Quick tip if you're considering a PineTime: throw in a couple extra charging cradles while you're at it. They're only $5 USD a pop and would cost over twice that to ship independently if you need one later.
