Labour might wonder why, less than a year into a new government promising “change”, people are giving up on it in droves. So let me help it out with a few clues.
1. Cutting disability benefits

But in summary: if you sought to alienate supporters, destroy your electoral prospects, leave people feeling cynical, disillusioned and ready to embrace any lying tosser who says he'll kick over the system, this is how to do it.

JWMThe statement “why would I bother to read something someone couldn't be bothered to write?” almost perfectly captures so many peoples’ feelings about #AI.
And it evokes @pluralistic’s reminder that although AI probably can’t do your job, an AI salesman can probably convince your boss that it can.
In the end, this technology (or rather the market for this tech) is aimed squarely at its least noble use: cheapening and degrading human labor that doesn’t fit neatly into a balance sheet.
