I like to think things could be better.
I had a surprisingly good time sleeping on some hay in a lean-to at -16°C this weekend.
I'd do that again.
But maybe not tonight, when I'm really extra appreciative of my chair, my roof, and four walls.
I got this little timer for work to remind me to get up and do my stretches and I'm really quite fond of it now. I just put it with the 25 min side up and then every time it beeps I just get up and move around or stretch. It's been good for my focus too, because time that doesn't beep at me isn't real.....
I haven't been writing much lately, but is a picture worth a thousand words? An adventure down the Grand River.
I just wanted to post a pic of my bike.
Biked to my wife's work so we could bike home together and almost died. But my bike kept me up pretty well with her electric assist ;)
New shoes this year, new lights, less cargo space. This bike has done me proud since the mid 90s.
App is quicker than having them fill in the data in line.
Selfie night with the dog, who is afraid of the wind.
I bought a new bike a little while ago - it has fenders, it folds, and it will let me take my real bike apart for a few weeks for repairs. The most surprising improvement is that it's slow. I have a problem with not riding as hard as I can, but with only seven gears..... I run out. There's nothing to do but take my time.
Being depressed makes me spend money. But honestly I needed new underwear, and I replaced the last HDD in my computer which was from 2011. And I threw out some clothes* to make room in my drawers.
*Wife would argue these aren't clothes anymore and haven't been for years.
Spent the last couple days out of cell service and realised again what a cyborg I am.
I do love my satellite weather, Inaturalist, and communication apps..... I know there are things I shouldn't use
Anyway, have some horizon.
How to get a clean desk:
Step 1, get a new desk.
Step 2, leave all your crap on the old desk.
