Hard to believe

I lost nearly any interest in posting anything online. Just an
#observation.
Another low-key Thanksgiving — just the way we like it here. Canceled travel feels like a relief lately. Staying home, no visitors, cooked a bunch of really good food — way too much for the two of us (well, let's not pretend it was me who did all the cooking..). Anyways. Grateful for that, and for all the steady, boring stuff this year. Figured I should post this today instead of my usual complaints, for a change.
Sounds like shutdown is coming to its end. Nobody wants to risk thanksgiving travel.
Nothing is happening. I'm inclined to believe it's a good thing.
I find it absolutely disgusting that this kind of immigration through "education" scam has been tolerated for so long in Canada and issuing "refunds" is too little too late. What refunds? In this particular case it's a criminal matter ~

Canada's federal election is over, but advocates are calling out a critical issue that was absent from the campaign: the plight of international students.

Unlike last year, this time I had a really good time in London. Wonderful sunny days, no crowds/lines anywhere. Did much more sightseeing as a result including places I've not seen for years like the Abbey and the Tower. The flights were not full in both directions. Maybe the era of mass tourism is finally over.
