Look I’m not saying Portland is why nearly every town in America has good pizza and good coffee. (And good beer.)

No. Wait. I think I am saying that.

In 2005, good pizza was nearly a myth in this country. Good coffee was a laugh about the fancy coastal people.

But I sleep tonight in Abilene Texas, and had actually very good pizza for dinner tonight. And tomorrow? Tomorrow I will have decent coffee (before leaving town).

That delicious pizza and good coffee is from the coasts. And by that, I mean the west coast. But actually, the northwest. But let’s be honest. Portland set the standard.

We’ve been here since the 80s. Yes, I’m glad y’all have joined us. But I bet y’all are even more glad.
