@pkrugman Yeah, P2P failed under this extraordinary weather event. OTOH, when it works - which it apparently has been - it gives SW the pricing advantage they enjoy over bigger airlines. This comes from the ability to fly one type of aircraft, reducing spare parts and maintenance costs and complexity; and also freeing them up to reschedule routes on the fly without worrying about having the right plane in the right place.
@pkrugman Agreed. Technical debt is very real and exposed when antiquted systems are stressed. There was a time - likely dating back to when these systems were built - when system failure like this was considered ok or normal or at least understandable. Time and tech have moved on, expectations have risen, and that creates the technical debt which is now coming due.
Here's an interesting way of explaining why inequality is inevitable is capitalism American-style. Would love to get your thoughts on this @rbreich .

Why the super rich are inevitable

Why some mathematicians argue the economy is designed to create a few super rich people – unless we stop it.

No one wants to prosecute DJT for war crimes. They want to prosecute him for domestic terrorism and insurrection for instigating and leading an attack on his own country's capitol and election process.
If future Congresses want to waste taxpayer money trying to make the case that every president needs to be tried for that then go for it. GLWT.

@wiolru OK. So in your diagram, the three step loop with arrows around the outside is a meta process to what's going on inside the venn diagram bubbles (because those appear to contain things that would not themselves be formally encoded anywhere). Or?
@wiolru Nice muse on #promises. Seems reminiscent of #socialcapital , a concept from sociology which may be defined as trust, rapport and anticipated reciprocity (i.e., quid pro quo). The way I read it, Anticipated Reciprocity kind of maps to Accounting in your diagram. Or are you indicating something more formal and quantitative?

Well ok then. Here I am. Hello....o....o...o :-)

Good to be here. Thanks, @wiolru for the prompt.
