update: sigh. the blue wave update is still stuck in development (courtesy to my school shitting homework everyday). my apologies.

around 95% complete for the ocean version, with almost all things working as intended. (note this screenshot is from a while back).

NOTE: This hasn't been implemented in any build yet.

Ok, so why KDE now? I can explain.

Here are the main ideas:

1. Absence of bloatware and stuff that makes KDE sluggish.

2. Picom as the default compositor. This brings a more stable desktop experience.

3. Different set of apps. PCManFM (Qt version) as the file manager for example.

That's basically all the info I'm going to talk about. I'm aiming for a release date of December 2023/January 2024.

I BEAT QUAKEEEE

(since i did pirate it, might as well pay for it when time time is right. but eh, now onto quake 2)

Sorry for the hiatus on Blue Wave!

I’ve been busy due to school. So the release for the new monthly ISOs will be delayed to January 2014/February 2024.

I might restart development and choose another desktop environment. Probably back to Cinnamon. Although I (and probably most of you) find the current GNOME desktop with the theme visually appealing, it didn’t act well with apps not built for GTK.

new mix in the works

on second thought, i'll make it use gnome instead.

with a new theme too.

not saying that this is final either, i'm simply messing around with a prototype that was compiled yesterday (the config shown here is absent by default).

release date? maybe around late september/october.

if anyone will ask me on why i'll probably do this, imo cinnamon seemed more like a viable and stable alternative to gnome and budgie altogether.

oh btw, here's another screenshot.

ocean and depths will (most likely) transition to the cinnamon desktop environment.
nah how do i deal with this😭

i was gonna sign up for threads but..

oh fuck nvm
