Now working my way through a third book because you can never have too many on the go. It's Kathryn Tempest's 2019 biography of Marcus Brutus, the assassin.
I will probably have some things to say about this book, because it sets up an interesting problem. Brutus is important because of what he did, but all we can say about his early life would be true of any Roman noble. Where do we find the pre-Civil War Brutus?
