Blue pancakes, my daughter’s invention.
From a beach washed away from the large storms to a new path and strip of golden sand. A lot of #Barcelona’s beaches need the same treatment. Maybe someday soon. It was fascinating watching the dredging process used to build essentially a new beach from scratch.
The labeling service Bluesky uses is disappointing.

Recent storms have completely wiped out Mar Bella in Barcelona. What once used to be a gentle slope into the water has been carved away by the sea and several large rocks deposited by the waves.

It's not clear what the future holds for this beach, but the errosion perfectly matches the nudist flag poles the city uses to denote clothing optionality, leaving us without a safe patch of beach to use.

I've been a little preoccupied with life that I totally missed that we've passed 100 active users.

Just a reminder that The Body Social doesn't have growth goals and is kept intentionally small, but it's still an interesting fact.

I've been reflecting on this past summer in Barcelona and how it compares to the US. One of the most dramatic differences is the level of accessibility of naturism here. I've included two pictures. The first is the quickest path down to the only naturist beach in Southern California. It's dangerous—not somewhere I would take a toddler. The second is just around the corner to Mar Bella, one of two naturist beaches in Barcelona—level ground, accessible by even a toddler.
