Tree weasel is the name of my one-man band project. Unfortunately, in recent months, I haven't been writing a whole lot of music, what with becoming a father taking up a lot of the time I would devote to the recording process and whatnot.

I also write for the website "How
About That Thing?", a blog where I talk about a certain topic each week that I happen to find interesting at that moment.

You know you're old when a cartoon series as recent as We Bare Bears is considered a classic. 😒

This past weekend, my wife tried to show my toddler blues Clues. Unfortunately for her, it didn't hold his attention for very long. Barely made it through half of one episode, and he already wanted to do something else.

A bummer for her, probably, but I'm actually kind of relieved, if we're being totally honest.

I admit, Blue's Clues was way after my time with Nick Jr even back when it was new. The only time I ever really saw it was when my mom was looking after my uncle who has down syndrome, and we found out it was his favorite show at the time. I watched an episode or two with him, and came the conclusion that this Steve guy might be the dumbest human being whoever lived. Like, I understand it's for toddlers in all, but seriously, this Steve guy is a dumbass!

Holy crap, the Patriots actually lost? Damn. Now I kind of wish I DID watch the game. Oh well.
This week in sentences I didn't think I would say out loud until I became a dad: no, we don't put potatoes in the recycle bin!
I've been contemplating the idea of taking a pottery lately. Or at least modeling clay. I don't know what I would make, necessarily, but helping my toddler discover the majesty of Play-Doh kind of got me thinking.
I showed my 2-year-old "you can't touch this" by MC Hammer. Apparently, he took that as a challenge, and started touching my screen repeatedly. 🤣

Pixar sent us some cupcakes. They cost around $1.7 billion.
With The Crimson Strider finished in out in the world for everyone's reading pleasure, I find myself going back into my archive, looking at some of the other ideas I had for comics back in the mid to late 2000s, and wondering if these could also be adapted into novellas?
Apparently, when we go out into the backyard, our 2-year-old's new favorite activity is poking random spots on the fence with a stick. It's weird... But that's toddlers for you, I guess. 🙃
