I actually think the Musking of Twitter ended up being a bigger impact on the election than anyone imagined. It was a key vector for radicalization during Covid. Musk recognized that, and as we were all laughing at him losing a fraction of his wealth, he turned it to 11 and aimed it at supporting Trump.

There needs to be one major counter-X for organizing. Is it Bluesky? Threads? It can’t be both.
