Just spent two hours troubleshooting why a Pimoroni Pico Audio + Pico Lipo set up as a BT a2dp sink (to turn my nineties boombox into a BT speaker) wasn't appearing at all.

Then I realised it's because the Pico Lipo doesn't have Wifi/BT. *thud*

Replaced with a Pico WH -- no Lipo charging :( -- and suddenly it all works... it's just the "a2dp_sink_demo" example code, unaltered.

Very low noise and no glitching.

Fiddling with my "Point At Things" idea, which I've been stuck on for some time.

This experiment has three (or more) 3-axis magnetometers and then have small magnets randomly stuck on the inside of the transparent globe that rides on those white balls.

My hope is that with enough magnetometers and the magnets properly random, every possible orientation of the globe will have a distinct set of values from the magnetometers -- three from each, so nine in this example.

...

That was meant to be an animated GIF.

Trying to solve how to detect orientation of a big transparent acrylic sphere (so I can then orient it correctly using motors)

Idea is that this'll have a big arrow inside that'll point at things randomly, like Jupiter, the ISS, the centre of the galaxy, your mom.

My best idea so far is using an IR camera with retroreflective dots inside. I have no idea if it'll work; not least because I have absolutely zero experience with photogrammetry and suchlike.

Any thoughts?

BBC Micro spotted in the last episode of Marvel's Secret Invasion (around the 23 minute mark). Even includes a Microvitec CUB monitor and from the look of it a normal hard-reset prompt. And Emilia Clarke.

Sick of being asked "how long until the summer holidays?"

(MicroPython code to receive an HTTP URL on MQTT, retrieve raw 1bpp data and pass to the display; Backend NodeJS script uses Puppeteer to render some simple HTML, dithers it to 1bpp raw and serves by HTTP)

You know how Raspberry PIs are always out-of-stock recently? That's because I have them all! Muhahahaha! @rpilocator @[email protected]
Oh, okay, I'll try getting ChatGPT to write this annoying periodic support script I need for a project. Wait a sec… is it meant to hammer out private credentials it has magicked up from who-knows-where? :/

A few days into my new Huawei GT3 Pro watch and I’m glad I didn’t get an Apple Watch; the weak battery life would’ve ruined it for me. This one gets a week even with all the features on. The iOS app does suck though… feels really amateur.

Designed my first watch face, “inspired” by my old c.1995 Swatch The Beep.

Battery barely making it through one brush. Time to defy Braun’s intentional planned obsolescence scheme.
