This is a classic example of how anything electrical is installed in my house. It has space for two wires, but nah, let's just hack one of the holes to make it bigger. π€¦ββοΈ
Thankfully I've just replaced these LED downlighters with GU10 fittings.
My previous Hue hub has... network issues. It refuses to connect to the network about half of the time when turning on (it connects and disconnects every ~500 milliseconds), and eventually settles at 10mbps. No bent pins, no obvious solider issues.
Issues were possibly triggered by a dodgy PoE splitter (since returned and replaced with something more reliable).
Openreach thought it necessary to send me 7 reminder SMSs about my appointment... have they turned up? No.
Perhaps next time, they should send the reminders to their engineers.
I was bitching about Virgin as I was getting <100mbps when I pay for gigabit when I decided that I should probably double check everything first.
For some reason the connection between the virgin modem and my router had decided to negotiate at 100mbps π€¦ββοΈ
