I didn't get a lot of time to sketch during my recent trip to Philadelphia- I squeezed this one in on the last morning.
My hotel was overlooking this scene, and I knew that I needed to capture it!

I was sitting having lunch at Bradley International airport, when this plane pulled in. I quick sketched the outlines while eating, then painted it after I finished my burger ( I almost dropped burger juice on the pages!). The waitress keep coming by watching over my shoulder... So I got plenty of Coke Zero refills!

Getting around to posting some recent sketches I've done while traveling for work.... I had lots of time to kill on my return trip from Springfield,MA. I just used the opportunity to get to the airport early and practice sketching.

This one was a practice on what to sketch and what to leave out... And working on creating visual space.

This place in Springfield, MA was a vaudeville theater in the 20s, then turned into a movie theater, and then turned into a concert venue/dance club. It is now shuttered, awaiting renovation as a performance space. It needs to be fixed up and used.
