to be fair it’s a pretty enjoyable market research experiment. cool how it drops the “oooh we’re doing social critique” and is just straight up goofy horror stuff.
the real goofy horror, however, is how this sets up the new freemium economy. the current worry is that ppl aren’t aware of the data we give to free services - soon, we might be extremely aware, and this “voluntary exchange” will be another cortisol producer of capitalism
