Look, I dread working with Marketing as much as anybody, but have you tried teaching them PowerShell commands to look up DNS records?
When someone says “and all that good stuff” frequently, that means they have no idea what they’re talking about and hope you won’t notice.
It's just baffling that CloudFormation will create dozens of resources before validating all of its configuration, then that one error (which isn't the only error, just the first error it hit) causes it to destroy all of the valid resources it just created.
This rant brought to you by the IaC Generator that adds a bunch of RDSDBCluster properties to RDSDBInstance, where they are not permitted, and CloudFormation that reports one error at a time.
Of course this is from the same company whose washer and dryer alert app is too big to keep on my phone.
Best part? was that I got yelled at by my C-level.
