@matthew_d_green What about signal, WhatsApp, telegram, sessions etc. are they also wanting a backdoor into that? Although it’s not straightforward it would be trivially easy to add a second encryption layer, so even if they have access to iCloud it would be only to secondary encrypted data.
@czottmann But if achievable, a big win.
@czottmann Yes understood, but Task Notes has a Rest API and a task note is a single note with the task details as properties, so theoretically shortcuts could pull the data from Task Notes and also Reminders and then somehow sync??? A big ask I’m sure.
@czottmann What about Apple Reminders integration with as the Task Notes plugin, is that possible?
@kepano Could UK users just switch Region and then use ADP?
@jamesthomson The best calculator app in my view. I just tipped you enormous because it’s so worth it. Thanks for your efforts.

@dgold105 The shortcut to help you to create a bookmarklet for Clip to Notes is here…

It should be self explanatory but if not there is a comment section in the shortcut to help.

@dgold105 I will post something soon, so you can create your own bookmarklet. The bookmarklet works by using the clipboard. The web content or selection is copied to the clipboard by the JavaScript in the bookmarklet which then invokes the shortcut, and the shortcut then appends the clipboard content to a selected Note. Essentially it is the same as invoking the shortcut from the share sheet, it’s just achieved from a bookmark instead.

Inspired from the Obsidian team (obsidian-clipper) and coding concepts / examples by @kepano and others. obsidian-clipper available for mobile / safari soon, I understand.

A quick demo on YouTube, using web content from club.macstories.net and @viticci article on using Notes for his iOS 18 review, a Matthew Green cryptography paper and Tony Kuyper photography blogs.

I have been working on similar methods to clip into Apple Notes (using GoodLinks and ideas / example shortcuts from @viticci), but this one is the most fluid with good results.

Clip the whole webpage or make selections to clip. Best experienced with Safari / Notes in Split View or Notes in Slide Over or using the Quick Notes window. (2/3)
