Squeeze me and watch the fireworks erupt.

Ex-mil, ex-sec, ex-treme, & ex-plosive.

Go ahead. Squeeze me. Crack that vial.

@VeroniqueB99

Hey. HEY!
The OP should have shown just a little respect.

They are NOT "big wheels", they are "Big Wheels".

And when I grow up, my mother says I may be allowed to ride one. But only if I am a good boy.

@VeroniqueB99

Nahhh. Not at all accurate.

Last time I interacted with the police, they said, unless you've got a "Deathwish" "Don't stand so close to me".

I was a bit stoned, and they said I looked like I was "Walking on the moon".

After I made "Contact" with the copper, I ran.

When they caught me, I asked how. They said the helo had an infra-red ^Invisible Sun".

"On any other day" I could go on, but, "O my god" there's "No time this time".

If you liked this reply, that's "Synchronicty".

@WhistlerInTheDarkAges

Let's try to use the correct terminology here. After all, this is an 'astronomical science' topic in a 'social' instance of the fediverse.

The flabby chested photographer of balls in a lab should not be referred to as a "shirtless hooded figure" but rather by using 'scientific' and 'social' terms.

He should be referred to as the "WIMP in a gimp".

Hi Phil,

I just read your newsletter and was pleased to hear you've deleted your Xit account.

Well done, Sir. You have my respect!

It is always a good thing when an astronomer can 'see the light', especially from such a 'dark place' as Xitter!

Any provider that accepts payments via a Post Office can, effectively, be paid with cash.

Just present a copy of the bill. The Post Office staff will scan the barcode on the bill and accept cash over the counter.

One need not even have a hard copy of the bill. Staff will happily scan the barcode shown in an email on one's phone.

Cash provides a floor interest rate of 0%.

If we went cashless, the Reserve Bank could set negative cash rates.

If the cash rate was -10%, it would COST $100 p.a. for every $1000 deposited.

It also means that a person who took out a million dollar loan would be PAID $100K p.a. for having that loan.

But the banks would STILL only lend to those who already had significant assets.

Going cashless would result in the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

Don't let that feeling where "some days, when [you're] working, [you] feel like [you're] losing knowledge" misguide you.

It is merely a sign that having expanded your levels of skill and knowledge, you've realised that there is always more to learn.

Learning is good. It shows that you are still green and growing.

Ray Kroc said, "While you're green, you're growing. When you're ripe, you start to rot."

Embrace those moments of learning. Stay green, and you'll always be growing.

@dangillmor

Well, in a democracy, the people who control lawmakers and government officials are the electors. The people.

It follows that as the Texas Government is doing the 'will of the people' and as that act is barbarous, then the majority of the people of Texas are barbarians.

Or perhaps they're merely fools who have been fooled by those in power.

I think we all wish for fewer 'politicians' and more 'leaders' in society.

@ikentcpel

Yeah! What Mike said!

Maybe there's one beamline that completes multiple circuits of the 27km tunnel, with a second beamline that runs in the opposite direction.

That would mean the stuff being "smashed" does 4500+ laps of the tunnel before colliding.

Originally planned to be built under the France- German border, the France-Switzerland border was selected when the Germans opted out.

The Germans remembered that they're no longer allowed to fire anything into France.
