@futurebird @juliette Did you ever get to feel and hear them hiss? If you are holding them, like with foreceps, you feel the buzzing, pretty strong.
@futurebird @juliette A little side track here. I live in Florida, and come across velvet ants frequently. Stepped on one barefoot, not a happy day. Their stinger or more like a hypodermic needle is the longest thing. A little less than 1/2 inch and you can actually see the venom drip out.

Mine got a lot better with two things, I slowed my distro hops, and learned the value of dot files.
