Humanity's Last Breath. A band I never knew about until yesterday. I like where all this stuff is going. Complex riffs, constant tempo and rhythm changes. It's pretty demanding to follow and it can feel contrived and overly self-indulgent but you know what? That's what I'm here for because I already listened to everything else.
This is new and it fucking rips. It's part eerie mythical alien cosmos type shit, part horror that comes from the inside.
And that outro. Man.
Humanity's Last Breath - Lifeless, Deathless
There's this underlying melancholy in it all, boosted often by the lyrics (like in the above example) and the videos that exhibit cars on empty roads at night.
It's the perfect soundtrack to go on a drive yourself at 1am without a destination, without a place to go, just driving for drivings sake. The thoughts will then come all by themselves.
It's probably the coolest thing you can do for yourself without anyone noticing.
Stance Music/Phonk is weird. There are endless iterations of it that all sound similar to each other. It must be pretty easy to produce, too, otherwise there wouldn't be five hundred thousand tracks of it.
And still, these long clean bass lines, those clicky hi-hats and the always present rap samples by Three Six Mafia/JUICE WRLD and all the others, it's so nice to listen to.
Pair it with the usual videos of R34s, Supras, RX-7s, NSXs, put some violet on it, you got me.
