See you soon from @[email protected]

Since I'm looking at this place (the fediverse) longterm, I want my local timeline to be less chaotic and I don't want to juggle accounts, so I'll be moving shortly to a new server - might as well rip that bandaid off now.

You should, I think, automatically re-follow depending on your client.

@queermath “anyway gotta run. My suggestion is: do everything different and also better. Ciao.”
@queermath okay but what if they really really need access to numbers that they explicitly asked for but don't contextually understand?

Since we're all in a spending mood apparently, if anybody want to lend me 25 grand, there's a spaceship that needs a home.

Lot # 349 : STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (T.V. Series, 1987-1994) - Light-up USS Yamaguchi and Excalibur Model Miniature

A USS Yamaguchi and Excalibur light-up model miniature from sci-fi TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. This miniature of the Ambassador-class starship was built to serve as two Federation ships, including the U.S.S. Excalibur in the Season 5 episode

You can tell how Star Trek: The Next Generation is set in a utopian future because every work meeting wraps up in at most four minutes with a decision about what the group is going to do, why they're doing it, who's in charge of doing it and who's supporting them in what ways, clearly communicated to all participants.

The stories coming out of twitter are horrifying - unnecessarily short deadlines as a quality test for engineers, people meeting those requirements and getting canned anyway, basically any opportunity to fire these employees for cause before they vest.

IT as an industry has worked really hard over the last 20 years to get away from "IT Crowd" stereotypes and this asshole User Friendly's his way through a massive org like it's butter.

In. Credible.

@timemachinego @ruggrat last night was like, "wait why did we all create accounts here at the same time in 2018...oh. right."
@ruggrat tumblez all the way down

...I shouldn't have to google to figure out how to follow people cross-server though. Feels very much like you're fighting the UI a bit.

Still. Pretty refreshing over here.
