I'm running into some trouble trying to install the phpredis extension on a Mac (M5 MBP, Tahoe 26.2). Both pecl and pie are failing on the make command.

Is there anyone with a better handle on C that might be able to spot what is wrong here? This output is the same regardless of the install method.

I've never liked noise cancelling headphones (of any kind/brand), but couldn't really explain why. They just give me an icky feeling that is uncomfortable.

With my new airpods I finally figured it out. You know that feeling when your ears REALLY need to pop, but nothing you do will make it happen? That's what I feel when noise cancelling mode is on. Like I'm going up a mountain with no relief in sight.

Several years ago just for laughs some coworkers endorsed me for "Bacon” on LinkedIn. Now one of those websites that aggregates online info about people describes me as someone “…with a robust skill set that includes Bacon, Team Leadership, PHP, Programming, SQL and more.” 😂

Over the years I've seen just about every kind of work setup at Starbucks.

- People with multiple laptops (ok that's been me a few times).
- A full desktop tower computer with an old CRT monitor.
- Lots of people with printers.
- People bringing in multiple monitors, laptop stands, and keyboards.

I thought I'd seen it all, but I found a new one today. A woman here has a 3 foot tall wooden knitting machine (loom?) she's operating with pedals.

Heads up if you are a SiriusXM subscriber they are raising prices (20% increase in my case) and do not appear to have notified anyone other than a small banner on their website.

PSA for Statamic folks - update your sites ASAP! ⚠️

A CRITICAL vuln was discovered that allows full account takeover via password resets! 😱

All the details: https://cvereports.com/reports/CVE-2026-27593 #Laravel

CVE-2026-27593: Statamic's 'Choose Your Own Adventure' Password Reset

A critical vulnerability in Statamic CMS turns the password reset feature into an account takeover weapon. By injecting a malicious base URL into the reset request, attackers can force the system to email valid users a link that sends their reset token directly to the attacker's server.

I'm in Tennessee for a family issue and holy moly watching the news here is absolutely jarring. It's like another planet.

I prep for job interviews by making notes, listing possible questions to prepare for, questions to ask, etc. On video interviews I opened those notes, but the only options were to be off to the side on an external monitor or on the same screen as the video call partially blocking the view.

I searched for a better way and couldn't find one, so I built a MacOS app that solves that problem. If anyone else is interested I'd love to get some feedback, especially from current/recent job seekers.

I use Todoist to manage.. everything.. and I have several projects that get re-used frequently. Most are packing lists for camping, travel, etc.

Some of those projects have 100s of tasks and after each trip I would have to manually go through and tap/click every single one to reset it to incomplete.

Todoist doesn’t have a way to handle that use case, so this weekend I made a thing to solve that: https://todoist-status-update.nerdthomas.com/
