Well, it's been A YEAR.
Last few weeks have been especially stressful for me, hence my lack of Mastodon presence. Currently have five minutes of peace while the child draws something, so thought I'd dip my head in.

The ONLY way to fix public transport issues in this country is to nationalise everything: buses, trams, trains. Having a private contract means having a captive audience; people can't vote with their wallets because there's no choice but to use the one company operating that route. If a bus fails to turn up you just have to wait for the next one, so they still get your money. Nationalised transport means having a way to hold operators to account, even if that depends on the quality of your MP.
