MiaThis quote encapsulates some of my thinking about AI and knowledge creators, language communities: '"Inclusive institutions" reward you for baking more cake. Inclusive institutions like the rule of law, contracts, and open competition ensure that if you invest, you will reap the rewards.
"Extractive institutions" are how elites grab instead of bake cake.
They siphon state revenues, seize assets, block competition, smother innovation, centralise power, exploit labour, and silence dissent'
We deserve inclusive AI institutions that reward, not extract

So, it is a thing in Kanazawa to put gold leaf on food, from flakes on seafood to whole sheets on soft serve ice-cream. My artist brain, perhaps snobbishly, thinks the latter is a waste. My engineering brain thinks about precious metal recovery from waste water.
