I've finished two Trek novels within 2 days. Yay me! Once I sit down and read I actually do get reading done. Duh! 🤣

I'm on a reading roll, I need to keep the momentum up. So, what's next?

I'm done with re-reading the first 6 books in the New Frontier series. Next up would be the one that's part of the Captain's Table miniseries, but I'm skipping it for now. Because after that comes the one that is part of another mini series: Double Helix.

Double Helix is a 6 part crossover series published under the TNG series. I found an omnibus edition that is significantly cheaper than the 6 single books are. So I'm going to read through them all before resuming my New Frontier re-read.

I ran a 5k today. Took me 36:31 minutes.
It was not the first time I ran 5k, but it was my first „official“ one. You know, those you register for and run with an audience.
This one was through the historic city centre. It was so much fun and really motivating to be cheered on by strangers. I wanna do this again next year. Maybe 10k then?

So, my Star Trek DVD collection has its first items.
Well, I do own the 2009 and Into Darkness steelbooks. But I never got hold of the Beyond steelbook, which I am annoyed about to this day.

I think I may have to start a Star Trek shelf again.

Star Trek and marketing just keeps on failing. Automatic translation for a shop site is never a good idea. Especially not with show titles that aren‘t translated anyway. And especially especially not when they give more than one translation. Of course this also happens for other shows like Prodigy, Lower Decks, and Discovery. 🤦‍♀️

Also, their customer service communicates in English, even though their shop is shown in German. Make up your mind guys. Really. I am just a ley person, I do know nothing about marketing. But it‘s obvious how you‘re failing. And it pains me. Because I love Trek so much and I want it to succeed in every way. Ditch the translation if you can‘t do it properly. Or do it properly.

Does that happen with other franchises as well? Is this about how people think AI makes everything easier and better? It‘s not working.

I have finally arrived in season 7 of my first complete Voyager watch through. I have no record of which episodes of that season I have seen before, but I guess not many.
I‘ve been at it for at least as long as The Delta Flyers themselves, so it‘s really time to finally get through it. I hope I can catch up with the podcast in time for the grand finale.
Ever since I found out about them I always listen to an episode right after I’ve watched the respective Voyager episode. Who‘s doing the same?
