HalfLife VR on Quest**Return to Black Mesa and experience one of the greatest games of all times as you never have before in Virtual Reality!**This release version is for Meta Quest. There is also a version for Pico.<br>Getting started:**What version of HL1 do i need?** <br>In order to play HalfLife in VR you need to own the game. Steam is most straight forward: https://store.steampowered.com/app/70/HalfLife/<br>Note that you need the Legacy edition of HL1. Here is how to downgrade easy and fast: <br> https://youtu.be/DgAIruHRqTE<br>**Installation:** <br>Step 1: Click Download (Sideload) to install the port! <br>Step 2: Grant app permissions through sidequest. It takes 10 seconds, look here: https://youtu.be/BJTb55p8GPI?si=TFLcPNhT3rDtejM <br>Step 3: Start lambda1vr once on your headset until it shows the menu screen. At this point exit the app! You will find that a xash folder has been created on your headset. <br>Step 4: Locate the install of halflife on your PC, if installed from Steam then it will be somewhere like C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamApps/common/HalfLife/ (make sure you have downgraded to HL1 Legacy Edition look at the start of the guide) <br>Step 5: From your PC, copy the *whole* valve folder to the newly created xash folder on your headset (This will take up to 10 minutes). Copy the whole folder you can just drag and drop it into xash. Allow to overwrite if asked. Using the Sidequest explorer to copy over the files is most failprove. <br>Step 6: Go to Uknown Sources in your headset and start Lambda1VR. <br>Attention: <br>Do not change any options before starting a new game (Don't enter the options menu at all first!). Make all the changes you like when you are in an active game. <br>Otherwise the app will crash when a new game is started. If the app still crashes on new game, play the Hazard Course first.Comfort: <br>The introtrainride can be hard on the stomach!
