This year @AoIR is very grateful to Radhika Gajjala @rgajjala & her team Debipreeta Rahut & Ololade Faniyit for leading the Online #AoIR2023 Doctoral Colloquium (DC), and to all mentors who are participating in this important event for our graduate students.
Also, just to avoid any confusion, the Online DC and Face-to-Face version (on Wednesday, 18 October) are running as completely separate events. The f2f version is being Chaired by the unflappable Adrienne Massanari @hegemonyrules. :)
My dear friend, collaborator and fascinating scholar and culture maker @mel_hogan is going to release our conversation, constituting episode 001 of her new series, The Data Fix. It’s being released TOMORROW (two weeks early!) in order to provide what we hope is helpful and provocative analysis about the Twitter debacle, commercial content moderation, and the politics and practices of computation and social media.
Find itat about 6 am CT/12 pm UTC (GMT):
