Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and jailbreak my Kindle Oasis (10th Generation) using the recently-released WinterBreak tool. Motivation was to run the KOReader app on Kindle to enjoy the exquisitely detailed presentation options and extra functionality it offers. (I'd experienced KOReader firsthand on a Boox Go 10.3 Android tablet.)

KOReader on a Kindle Oasis makes a Kindle all I ever hoped it could be! 🤩

Kudos to Faisal F. Rafat for his YouTube instruction videos.

Hello, PKM.social. Testing Drafts.app 'Post to PKM.social' action.

A big deal: Formidable Constitutional minds former federal judge Michael Luttig and Harvard professor of constitutional law emeritus Lawrence Tribe conclude that the Fourteenth Amendment disqualification clause **directly and immediately** disqualifies the former president from ever holding public office again. Outcomes of his criminal indictments trials are irrelevant.

Trump Is Constitutionally Prohibited From the Presidency

The only question is whether American citizens today can uphold that commitment.

I finished listening to _The Covenant of Water_ by Abraham Verghese yesterday, read by the author. He's brilliant at being a doctor, a novelist, _and_ a narrator. Oprah's enthusiasm is warranted.

I am grateful for novelists who create worlds we can visit in our imagination when living in this world calls for a mental health break.

Stumbled on YouTube channel The Charismatic Voice (Elizabeth Zharoff) today.

Elizabeth is my aspirational spirit animal! Her wide-eyed, beaming delight hearing songs for the 1st time (so far ones that I've been listening to my whole life) infuses joy. Imagine being able to uplift like this! Plus she knows 10,000X more about music theory than I ever will, so I learn a lot.

Example: Elizabeth responding to Boston's _More Than a Feeling_

Magic elixir that I never ever get tired of. Iced in summer is heavenly:

- 4t peppermint
(Heather's Tummy Tea Peppermint loose)

- 2t gunpowder green tea
(Stash Tea Gunpowder Temple of Heaven loose)

- Add 16oz water at 185°F (85°C)
- Steep 3 min
(T2 A30000164 Teamaker Infuser Looseleaf Tea Maker 500ml (16oz))

- Decant
- Sweeten to taste. I like:

1/2 t granular stevia blend
(Pyure Organic Stevia Blend Granular Sweetener)

plus 10 drops stevia liquid
(Aspen Naturals Liquid Stevia Drops)

I finished listening to _The Uninhabitable Earth_ by David Wallace-Wells. I had seen a reviewer's recommendation to "stay away if you're psychologically vulnerable." Oops.

I regularly try to look directly at difficult issues so that I'm operating in awareness instead of ignorance.

Whew, in this case, partial ignorance was definitely more blissful.

My patience with those unable to face harsher realities has just risen.

I've just traversed a long silent spell here. Let's see if I can ease back into sharing (and boosting) occasional thoughts and interesting topic leads as I encounter them. Eclectic as I wanna be—treating like conversation with friends over coffee. ☕️😉

3 years ago I was hospitalized with Covid. Since then, I’ve been hospitalized for pneumonia 3 times during the years.

This pandemic isn’t over, even though there’s no more reporting on it. People are still getting really sick. And #Longcovid is an absolute thing. They think I have it. I’ve had health problems ever since this day.

Be careful out there. Mask up. Don’t feel silly about it. I want you all healthy.

I became aware of Rep. Adam Smith in today's In the Bubble episode on debilitating anxiety. I bought Adam's book _Lost and Broken_ immediately and listened to the entire book this afternoon. Adam narrates, and his story feels oh-so-familiar. Grateful for his courage & encouragement that if familiar, we are not alone. Getting better is possible.
