I miss my kids. Some days I feel this more than others but I’m always feeling it. The feelings are heavy and difficult. Hope is hard to hang on to because it is uncertain. But it’s also the only thing I have. Hope that I will see them again. Hope the at we will be reunited. Hope to hold them once more.

Until then I sit in the pain and embrace it. Everyday. Always. Because I love them so much.

COVID is still a thing. Two people in my small office confirmed. One of those has an elderly father in a nursing home he visits every day and now can't until he is clear. Worst time of year for that to happen.

Another two with symptoms but testing negative (who have also stayed home). I'm OK and testing negative each day.

Stay safe people and stay home if you have symptoms.

Spare a thought for those who, at Christmas, are finding it tough. There are people who are away from family, are unwell, the financial expectations are too much, and much more.

Take care of each other and keep an eye out for those who are struggling.

Finally gave up on the bird site today. I was waiting for an excuse and it came down to my wife no longer feeling safe on there.

Lots to do at work at the moment... results for second semester and enrolments for next year coming in both at the same time. I hate the word "busy" with a passion but if I was ever going to use it then this would be the time...

I do love it, though.
