Geeky. Comedian, sort of. Fuelled by red wine, anger at the patriarchy and fabulous nail polish. [she/her]
6.08am. Two foxes screaming at each other on our patio, right outside the bedroom and living room windows. R chased them off as Hastings sits at living room window. Fox returns to scream through the window at Hastings, presumably mistaking him FOR a fox. Again. 6.08am.
A dog was mean to Hastings on our walk at lunchtime and the owner was frankly far too slow at getting involved. I now have even more admiration for my parents who were also not allowed to kick my childhood bullies or their parents despite dire provocation.
Bit of a quietly exciting moment for me. Can't actually discuss any of it for the moment but a bit of light in what has been a tricky few weeks/months. Hurrah for that!
How! Is! He! So! Perfect!
There's just something a bit magic about drinking a cup of tea in bed in the morning with the sun streaming through the window, isn't there? Sometimes life is Okay Actually.
British people like Doctor Who because it fulfills their fantasy of getting to go on adventures. Americans like Doctor Who because it fulfills their fantasy of having a doctor.
Successfully walked the dog on the round trip to the chippy-that-doesn't-deliver which means that at some point I can eat my tea from there again if R & I take him together. And truly, is enabling that level of togetherness not the *real* meaning of Valentine's Day?
I know it's not exactly a new complaint but I miss it when infrastructure used to work; instead, I've just spent 24 minutes on hold to Royal Mail to put in a complaint that we haven't had post for two weeks now. But yeah, privatisation is delivering brilliant value for money 🙄

Just to make it clear, half way through the class/final assessment one of his baby teeth fell out and he carried on LIKE A CHAMP

(I stared at it on the floor, thought "well, that's technically a biohazard if I leave it there?" so just... popped in my pocket)

This handsome devil has PASSED his puppy class and is now the proud owner of his first rosette. I say proud, he's at best indifferent but we're delighted.
