Turns out your mother likes it if you say, "look I have an extra flake fillet I don't know what to do with, I'll come around and cook some fish and chips for you and dad".

Docklands Yacht Club winter training and short-course racing had its second session on June 15 2025.

The morning training was bright and sunny, but by the time the racing came around after lunch the temperature had dropped and the sun half-hidden by clouds. But the rain and thunder stayed away and the winds didn't rise beyond moderate, so we were able to get six medium-length races away.

Over the six races, daily first place went to Steve, second place went to Karen in her first Docklands race, and third to Brien. Brien also received the daily Sailing Spirit special award, for his sportsmanlike behaviour in accepting penalties and for his spirited recovery.

In the cumulative ratings, Steve is a runaway leader, with Brien coming second and Sarah and Craig close behind them in third. Docklands Yacht Club Winter Regattas will return on July 20th.
