Suggestions for cool instances welcome.
It’s about that time for me to migrate to a smaller instance. So, brace for a new intro post and follow notification.

Mike Wallace was a real square, man. He’s basically at Dali like “why can’t you just paint nice instead of weirding all over the place.” Dali, of course, is all “I am genius and marvellous at all the things.”

Wallace always seems to be fishing for sound bite answers from his interviews and it’s kind of funny when he starts to get frustrated with his guests. It’s subtle because it’s 1958 and everybody’s playing at being composed and professional.

Who is clamouring to see popular content? “Wanna see what everyone is talking about right now?” Is that not a part of the problem, generating FOMO over discourse on things like hot dog sandwiches and white people cosplaying the Victoria era lifestyle IRL?

Maybe I am an old who longer cares to chase down the meaning behind someone’s vague posts about the meme du jour.

Every public servant relying on platforms that require a login for access to their messages is not serving the public.

I just realized that twitter barrier--apparently you need to be logged in now--also prevents people from seeing the emergency things like weather, earthquake, transit issues...

Those services have to leave there. They should have before anyway, but now it's not a public venue at all.

Photogs prolly gonna get some artistic smoky supermoon shots this week tho
They’re really going to do fireworks and grilling with this Unhealthy air quality
Looking out my window
at maskless people
walking along the smoky streets
I want to cry out to them
“can’t you smell the smoke?”
but then I remember
how many people
have had their sense of smell
numbed by the plague
and I realize that maybe
they really can’t smell the smoke.
