They sprung us early after all! 🎉 Waiting for the bus home. In the meantime, check out all these white dudes who used to be mayor of my town.
We’ve opened all the envelopes for all the precincts. We might be needed to help count write-ins later or we might not; the city election official has been keeping up with them throughout the day. They had a whole Chinese buffet for us downstairs. I’m pathetically happy.
Once we’ve verified the list we get to use this buddy, which is the fun one. Envelope slicer! Whoosh whoosh whoosh go the envelopes, and then they are mostly open. The aforementioned office supplies handle the few this machine misses, but it’s MUCH faster this way.
