@daijenkins @kityates It’s typical Tory politics. Just like spending an absolute fortune housing asylum seekers when they could employ more bodies to process the applications far cheaper and they could (like other countries) allow them to work whilst awaiting a decision. Sadly it’s being done by design so that they can reel in the racist voters.

@MimiJ9 What happened to “tough on the causes of crime?” For all his faults, Blair at least tried to address underlying causes. Restoring sure start would be a ….. sure start?
@pthane @furiousrobot ah but the Tories say that anyone with a common sense indication of Brexit impact, is ‘jumping on the bandwagon’ as has ‘no idea how market forces work’. Coffey thinks every single person, except her, is utterly stupid. The complete opposite is true.
@Ianhowes1970 @Ferretgrove I noticed Coffey still blaming the weather in Spain when (a) there’s no shortages in France, Germany or any other EU country and (b) in winter, Spanish tomatoes are grown in poly tunnels.
@MimiJ9 she obviously hasn’t had any food shortages. She’s certain to suffer food deprivation if she keeps her head buried in the sand however.
