@nickfoster this combined with a poll I saw recently covered by 9to5mac saying people are choosing to upgrade their phones not for AI but for better battery life and camera upgrades gives me hope that AI isn’t going to dominate like we all thought it will.
@nickfoster I guess, but it just feels out of the way now. Maybe it’s because it includes system apps too which is so odd. Muscle memory of years wants me to find Safari/Music settings on the first page of Settings so when I don’t immediately find it there I just search instead of going all the way to Apps. 🙃

Updating on this, I finished TNG a few months ago and I’m already on season 4 of Deep Space Nine.
When I completed TNG I was so, so sad. I knew I’d miss Picard and the crew of the Enterprise so much I actually put off starting DS9. I didn’t want to leave the bright and clean Enterprise for the dark and menacing Cardassian station above Bajor.
But my gosh DS9 is incredible. I’ve fallen just as much in love with it as I did TNG. ❤️
I haven’t posted in 127 days but I’m here to say that iOS 18 put all the app settings in the Settings app, into an “Apps” section and it never ceases to annoy me every time I go to look for a specific app’s settings.
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever written a sentence with more occurrences of “app” and “settings” in it. 😂
